Stats (short for statistics) refer to the point values of the 6 attributes of a Mon that impact battles: health, primary and secondary attack, primary and secondary defense, and speed.
When a Mon is born, its base stats are randomly set, with each attribute point falling within the range dictated by its species. This means that battle stats vary widely across Mons — even at the same level within the same species.
Battle power (BP) is a simplified value that estimates a Mons overall power as the average of its 6 battle attributes. However, a Mon with a higher BP is by no means guaranteed victory.
Health or hit points (HP) determines how much damage a Mon can take before being defeated.
Primary attack (PA) determines how much damage a Mon deals against an opponent’s primary defense.
Secondary attack (SA): determines how much damage a Mon deals against an opponent’s secondary defense.
Primary defense (PD): determines how much damage a Mon can resist from an opponent’s primary attack.
Secondary defense (SD): determines how much damage a Mon can resist from an opponent’s secondary attack.
Speed (SP): determines which Mon attacks first in a battle the Mon having higher speed (SP) attacks first.
